Starting July 30, the museum is hosting the exhibition "The Color of Distance," where artist Oksana Hirniak presents the tapestry cycle "When Silence Sings" and a series of graphic works.

Oksana Hirniak’s tapestries "When Silence Sings" are not just masterfully woven canvases, but artistic stories in which thread transforms into a lifeline, and color becomes the language of feelings. Flowers, family, and birds are not decorative images, but symbols of memory, love, life, and hope. The bird that appears in each work carries good news and reminds us that even after the darkest night, dawn will surely come.

A special highlight of the exhibition is a series of graphic works created by the artist for the poetry collection "Where the Wings Fall Silent" by Aria Doli (a pen name), a young poet and student at the Lviv Professional College of Culture and Arts. This is a visual interpretation of poetry about pain and anxiety, loneliness and faith, fear and light. It is the story of a person journeying from inner ruin to a silence that no longer terrifies.

"The Color of Distance" is an exhibition about emotions that change us and experiences for which words are sometimes lacking. The tapestry cycle "When Silence Sings" and the graphic works for the collection "Where the Wings Fall Silent" merge into a single artistic narrative, exploring themes of memory, loss, anxiety, exhaustion, and resilience.

These two artistic stories unite into one sincere conversation about humanity—its vulnerability, its ability to overcome pain, and its power to find light even in the darkest times.
