On October 3, the exhibition "Give priority to the stars. Engraver Ilya (1637-1663)" was opened, where Ukrainian and Romanian engravings of the Baroque period from the collection of the Museum of Books and Printing of Ukraine are presented.

This exhibition was prepared in December 2021. The project team expected it to travel through the cities of Ukraine, but a full-scale war exploded. Only now, almost three years after its creation, it is being presented in Lviv.

The name of master Ilya is well known in the history of Ukrainian engraving of the 17th century.

About 40 rare exhibits from the collection of the Museum of Books and Printing of Ukraine will be presented at the exhibition, including old prints, clichés, a unique engraving "Family Tree of the Kyiv-Pechersk Monastery" of the 17th century. The exhibition is complemented by banners with printed engravings by the engraver Ilya and video.

Some of the rare exhibits are presented from the collection of the Lviv Museum of the History of Religion.
