On May 17, the opening of the "Fire of Faith" exhibition project took place. The purpose of the exhibition is to show, on the basis of museum artifacts, the sacred effect of fire in the faith of people throughout historical development.

The cult of fire in the beliefs of peoples is highlighted through archaeological monuments - vessels with images of solar signs, cross pendants, urns of the Cucuteni-Trypillia and Vysocka cultures, etc.

Various pictorial and graphic objects, images on metal and wood illustrate stories from the Bible about the sacred meaning of fire. Visitors will also be able to see ritual fire-lighting items used in Judaism, Christianity, Islam, Hinduism and Buddhism.

Saints and Fire is another topic that the authors of the exhibition highlighted. We will learn about the attributes of Saints Basil the Great and Dominic, Archangel Michael and Saint Florian; about the torture by fire and the ascension of Saints Ilya and Teklya; about the death by fire (burning) of Joan of Arc, St. Lawrence, and others.
