On November 13, we opened the exhibition "Yosaphat Kuntsevych: The Phenomenon of Memory" dedicated to the 400th anniversary of his martyrdom.
The project partner is the Central State Historical Archive of Ukraine in Lviv.
The exposition reveals the figure of the holy martyr Josaphat, a native of the Ukrainian city of Volodymyr, a monk of the Order of Saint Basil the Great, bishop of the Kyiv Union Metropolis. He died in 1623 as a result of an inter-confessional conflict. In 1643 he was beatified, in 1867 Pope Pius IX proclaimed him a saint.
The curator of the exhibition is Nataliya Matlashenko.
The exhibition will last until the middle of January 2024.
